Players and Setup

Best to have at least a dozen people to play. Everyone that plays contributes about a few scratch off lottery tickets for the booty bowl. You set up tables with 2-4 players at a table. One person is the SNOOP MASTER who runs the show and watches over the booty bowl, but can also play.

In front of each person, you lay ten cards face up; the cards 2-12 (jack being 11 and queen being 12) minus the number 7 card. Everyone has a piece of paper. Every table has a pair of dice and at least one pen.

Gameplay

When the Snoop Master yells START! everyone rolls the dice at the table the person with the lowest score goes first at each table then you go clock wise. Roll the dice and flip the card over of the dice number rolled. If you roll a number of a card you already flipped, the next person clockwise able to flip the card goes. If everyone has that card number flipped, the next person clockwise rolls.

The object is to get all your cards flipped over as fast as you can. The first person to get all of the cards flipped over yells SNOOP! and stands up. That person has a score of zero and gets to pick one or two lottery tickets from the booty bowl.

Everyone else totals up the cards not flipped over in front of them and adds that number to their score on their paper. Jacks being 11 and Queens being 12. The person with the lowest score at each table moves on to the next table clockwise, taking the seat of that table’s low scorer. If there is a tie, a dice roll decides who gets to be declared low scorer.

Final Play

The Snoop Master keeps an eye on the booty bowl so they can announce when the last game is being played. After the last game, any remaining tickets are divided among anyone who did not move (or the highest score if everyone moved) and the lowest score.

Alternative Prize Play

Linda shared that in the original party game, everyone brings a gift in a brown paper bag. At the end of each round, the person at the table that has won that round gets to look in the four (4) brown bags at the table and picks the one they want to keep. Then they move to the next table. If you win a lot, you naturally end up with a gift you want. If you don’t win much, your gift might be lame!

This game is so much fun, we’ve played it without any prizes. Inexpensive gifts or snack packs or sweets can be used for the booty bowl. It is limited only by your creativity.

Thank you Linda Ricketts for introducing us to this game!
