Christmas Bon Bons
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup mashed potatoea
- Leftovers from dinner work; pepper and all!
- 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
- The flavor is up to you.
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 4 cups coconut
- 1 dash salt
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 ounces paraffin wax
- Butter may be substituted.
Instructions
- Combine potatoes, flavoring, sugar, coconut, and salt. Form into balls and chill 2 hours.
- Melt chips and wax together. Dip chilled balls to coat.
Notes
Linda has tested the use of leftover potatoes. Let us know if you try using garlic mashed. It’s also fun to add food coloring or to decorate with white chocolate drizzle that has been colored!
