Cocktail Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons snipped parsley
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash ground black pepper
- 1 pound ground beef
- 12 ounces chili sauce
- 12 ounces grape jelly
Instructions
- In a bowl combine egg, bread crumbs, milk, parsley, mustard, salt, and pepper. Add beef and mix well.
- Shape into 1-inch meatballs. Place in 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Bake at 350F for 15-18 minutes or until done. Drain.
- Meanwhile combine chili sauce and grape jelly over low heat, stirring until well-blended. Add meatballs and stir to coat.
- Serve hot or put in a crockpot set to LOW to keep warm.
Notes
These are a wonderfully simple sweet-sour kind of BBQ style meatball. You can also use the sauce on store purchased meatballs.
