Grape Jelly
Ingredients
- 5 cups grape juice
- 7 cups sugar
- 1 box SureGel
- 1 teaspoon butter
Instructions
- Measure sugar into separate bowl.
- Stir SureGel and juice in a 6 to 8 quart pot. Bring to a full boil. Add sugar return to boil and boil 1 minutes stirring constantly. To reduce foaming add one teaspoon butter.
- Remove from heat and skim foam. Ladle into hot jars and quickly put on lids. You can quickly invert the jars five minutes to seal or use a hot water bath fifteen minutes.
Notes
For fresh grape juice, wash grapes and simmer until soft. Use jelly bag to drain off juice overnight.
