Molasses Crinkles

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup  shortening
• 1 cup  brown sugar
• 1 large  egg, beaten
• 1/4 cup  molasses
• 2 1/4 cups  flour
• 1/4 teaspoon  salt
• 2 teaspoons  baking soda
• 1 teaspoon  cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon  ginger
• 1/2 teaspoon  cloves
• 1/4 cup  sugar
• For dipping cookie dough in before baking.

Instructions

1. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients.
2. Chill thoroughly.
3. Shape into balls and dip in sugar.
4. Bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
