Salt Water Taffy

Instructions
- Combine sugar, light corn syrup, salt, and water in two quart saucepan.
- Cook slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook to hard ball stage (260 degrees fahrenheit) without stirring.
- Remove, stir in color and butter.
- Pour into greased jelly roll pan. Cool until handable. Grease hands and pull, pull, pull until color lightens.
- Pull into long strands and cut with greased scissors into bite-sized pieces. Wrap each piece in wax paper.
Notes
You can flavor the taffy by adding a teaspoon of extract or a 1/2 teaspoon of concentrate oil.
