Sandi's Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375F.
  2. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla in a large bowl on medium speed of mixer until fluffy--at least five minutes.
  3. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt; add alternately with milk to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  4. Line cookie sheet with parchment or lightly grease with margarine wrappers. Drop batter by heaping teaspoon onto prepared sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to cooling rack and cool completely.

Notes

The extra yolk is a secret from the Death By Chocolate’s Cookie Book. The extra time beating the eggs and sugar was a suggestion from Linda Ricketts. I like to add raisins into the batter, too!
