Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit.
  2. Mix 1 1/2 cups sugar with margarine, shortening, and eggs.
  3. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Shape into 1 1/4 inch balls.
  5. Mix 1/4 cup sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Roll balls in this cinnamon-sugar mixture then place two inhes apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool.

These are still a favorite, simple, sweet delight!
