Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs, separated
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Mix yolks and sugar until dissolved. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt alternately with hot water.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, hold shape.
- Fold whites into yolk batter.
- Bake in a 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
